Efficiencies at forefront as Paciolan closes TicketsWest deal

Paciolan has completed its acquisition of ticketing distributor TicketsWest and promoter WestCoast Entertainment.

The finalisation of the deal, which was reported by The Ticketing Business in August, was confirmed by RLH Corporation, the former owner of the two companies.

California-headquartered Paciolan, which was bought by Learfield earlier this year, believes the two operators will benefit from operational and technological efficiencies following the acquisition.

TicketsWest is one of North America’s leading full-service ticketing distributors, powering hundreds of live entertainment organisations, including performing arts, college athletics, multi-purpose venues, and arenas.

RLH said: “The acquisition enables TicketsWest and WestCoast Entertainment to join the second largest primary ticketing provider in North America to realise operational and technological efficiencies while continuing to offer their clients full service ticketing, marketing, content and distribution capabilities.

“These robust businesses will continue to operate as a division of Paciolan under the TicketsWest and WestCoast Entertainment brands.”

TicketsWest will continue to be led by president Dusty Kurtz, while Paciolan confirmed the leadership team and regional staff will remain in their current positions.

Speaking in August, Kim Damron, Paciolan president and chief operating officer, said: “We are thrilled to add the companies as members of the Paciolan family.

“As a long-time partner with TicketsWest, we have great respect for their fantastic leadership team and staff who have earned an incredible reputation for delivering excellence in ticketing and marketing services to their clients.”

RLH, which is primarily a hotel operator, will now report the results of operations of the two businesses as discontinued operations.
