Make it Social links up with Ticketmaster

Tech start-up Make it Social is going global thanks to a partnership with ticketing giant, Ticketmaster.

In a major milestone for the Edinburgh-based company, the agreement will extend Make it Social’s reach to Ticketmaster’s platforms in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The company is making use of Ticketmaster’s open ticketing platform, leveraging Ticketmaster’s APIs to provide value added services to venues, sports clubs, promoters and fans.

Make it Social’s platform enables people to book as a group but pay individually.

Eddie Robb, founder and chief executive of Make it Social, said: “Working with Ticketmaster is a fantastic opportunity. Our software takes the headache out of group booking and makes meeting up in real life easier. Now many more people will benefit.”

Make it Social, which was founded in 2013, is active with Premier League football club Brighton & Hove Albion, Harlequins Rugby Union, the Scottish Rugby Union and Surrey County Cricket Club.

The company is headquartered in Edinburgh’s Codebase, the UK’s largest technology incubator, and employs 16 staff.

Make it Social is a sponsor of TheTicketingBusiness Forum 2018, and will be showcasing at the event at Emirates Old Trafford on April 17-18.
