Los Angeles-based AXS has become the exclusive ticketing partner of the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara.

The first show ticketed for the venue by AXS was for the Robert Tapia concert over the weekend, and all other upcoming events have already transitioned to the AXS platform.

Lindsey Buckingham, Stephen Stills, Kevin Hart and Joe Biden are among those that will appear at the 2,000-capacity venue in the next few weeks.

The partnership complements AXS’s existing footprint in the Californian city, which includes the Santa Barbara Bowl and UC Santa Barbara.

“We are extremely proud to partner with The Arlington and are excited to embark on many successful years together,” said Dean DeWulf, senior vice-president of music at AXS.

“Santa Barbara is an amazing market where we are seeing tremendous growth and opportunity for AXS, our partners and our customers. The addition of The Arlington allows us to further cement our mission of serving the fans of the city with the best live event experience possible.”

The Arlington Theatre, built in 1931, is the largest movie theatre and principal performing arts venue in Santa Barbara. In addition to regular screenings and artists, it is home to many events associated with the annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

“Our partnership with AXS will allow the Arlington to bring the finest entertainment experience possible to the Santa Barbara community”, said Timothy Spain, vice-president of Metropolitan Theatres.

“With this integrated partnership we are excited to make our guest experience of discovering events, purchasing tickets and entering the venue even more seamless.”
