TicketIQ has become the exclusive digital ticket marketing partner of three major college basketball events in the US.
Under the agreement, TicketIQ will be the presenting sponsor of the 2017 Gotham Classic and 2K Classic, which will both be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City, as well as the Legends Classic, which will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The three college basketball events will take place between November 16 and December 16, and feature college basketball teams such as Louisville, Memphis, Providence, Virginia Tech, Washington, Saint Louis, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, Penn State, and Oklahoma State.
“We’re excited to launch and leverage our new desktop and mobile platform and help fans buy directly through their phone or computer to make sure they’re getting the best possible deal,“ said TicketIQ chief executive Skip Connors.
Through its integration with primary platforms like Ticketmaster, as well as its connection with other secondary markets, TicketIQ integrates digital distribution for rights holders. Since its launch 2009, TicketIQ has worked with over 100 sports teams, music promoters, venues, festivals, and Broadway shows.
Rick Giles, president of Gazelle Group, a sports marketing firm based in Princeton, New Jersey that specialises in event production and management, client representation, and sponsorship consulting said: “TicketIQ gives us access to superior market intelligence and distribution. We are excited to be working together.”
Gazelle Group produces numerous nationally-recognised events, such as the 2K Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project, Legends Classic and the Gotham Classic.
