NHL ice hockey franchise Los Angeles Kings has linked up with ticketing solutions provider Pogoseat to enhance the fan experience at its Staples Center home.
Pogoseat is an enterprise solution for sports teams and live-entertainment venues that enables their fans to purchase tickets, upgrade seats and discover VIP experiences before and during events.
San Francisco-based startup Pogoseat’s mobile application claims to increase fan engagement, monetise unused inventory and gather data.
The partnership with Pogoseat allows fans to buy tickets via text message, with customers able to sign up to receive text-ticket offers. In doing so, fans will get text alerts when seats become available for games.
After obtaining an offer, fans can respond with the quantity of tickets they want and will receive seat options. Once the seats they want are found, they simply text “BUY” and the tickets are delivered to their Flash Seats account.
“We are constantly striving to enhance the fan experience by adopting new technology, and this relationship with Pogoseat helps provide our fans another extremely convenient way to secure tickets,” said Kings vice president, ticket sales and service, Mason Donley.
“It is imperative that we stay in-step with evolving technology and it is our great fans who benefit the most.”
Kiran Patel, chief executive of Pogoseat, said: “The LA Kings are constantly looking to deliver solutions that are convenient for their fans.
“We are incredibly proud to continue innovating ticketing solutions alongside AXS and to help introduce this new service to the Kings’ fan base by making it as simple as responding to a text message”
Pogoseat is partnered with AEG, the parent company of the Kings, and has worked closely with AXS to integrate with their ticketing system. Pogoseat has partnered with numerous major entertainment properties worldwide.
