The Historic Theatre District in Santa Barbara, California has signed up a new website partner in a bid to increase access to the performing arts.
TicketsSB.org will streamline the ticket-buying process for customers, creating a more convenient method for fans to attend performances.
The Historic Theatre District includes the Granada Theatre, the Lobero Theatre and the New Vic Theatre.
“Having one centralised website allows our historic theatres to collaborate on community-wide performing arts initiatives and leverage exposure for each other, all while further promoting the thriving performing arts scene in the Santa Barbara community,” said Craig Springer, president and chief executive of the Santa Barbara Center for the Performing Arts.
Earlier this week, it was reported that TodayTix, the international theatre-ticketing platform, had launched its Spring Ticket Event to “redefine the way people see theatre.”
Throughout March, ticket deals to some of London’s top shows will be offered through the TodayTix app and website.
The free mobile app for iOS and Android devices aims to make the theatre more accessible to a wider demographic, with TodayTix claiming to be “disrupting an established industry that is ripe for innovation”.
