Naples-Brown shines light on new See Tickets role

Amy Naples-Brown, the new senior vice-president of business development at See Tickets, has told TheTicketingBusiness that the industry is pushing to enhance meaningful communication via customer data.

She also added that the ability to integrate easily with third parties and streamline distribution operations are inevitable steps for all ticketing firms.

“A mobile-friendly website or app will no longer be good enough and the focus will need to shift to providing innovative mobile shopping experiences that allow customers to curate their entire event experience in advance,” Naples-Brown told TheTicketingBusiness.

Last month, the Vivendi-owned company welcomed Naples-Brown into its executive team in North America. In her new role she will help to create new partnerships with events and promoters.

Naples-Brown joined See Tickets after various roles at Veritix, Ticketmaster, and Gingerbread Shed. She has worked on the ticketing side of the live entertainment business since the 1990s and has worked in box offices for various high-profile teams such as the Atlanta Braves, Denver Broncos, and Phoenix Suns.

Naples-Brown told TheTicketingBusiness: “Today, it’s obviously all about the mobile experience and the emerging access control technologies that negate the need for a physical ticket.

“At See Tickets, our partners appreciate having digital options like mobile delivery and RFID wristbands that allow them to mitigate fraud and increase the data available to them for each and every customer.

“As a company, See Tickets North America has only just begun to dip our toe in the ticketing waters of the US marketplace. We have stable, independent ownership and a great platform that I wish I’d had access to during my box office management days.

“My goal for 2018 is to ensure that every music venue, festival, promoter, museum and ticketed attraction is familiar with our offerings; and that we continue to partner with the best-of-the-best who are looking to take their operations and revenue to the next level.”

She noted that “everything” has changed since her early days working in a box office. In her new role, she said she plans to draw on her “unique mix of experience” as both a client and a vendor working with just about “every ticketing platform at some point during my career”.

Her roles ranged from box office operations to account management to sales and marketing. Through her experience, she said she hopes to “not only refine our go-to-market strategy as we continue to grow, but also to further cultivate our culture internally and ensure everyone at See Tickets North America is proud of what we’re building together”.

Naples-Brown also told TheTicketingBusiness: “The decision to join the See Tickets’ team was a no-brainer for me after the first five minutes of my initial conversation with our North American chief executive, Boris Patronoff.

“His passion for growing the business is infectious as is his commitment to cultivating a truly dynamic and seasoned team that is equally focused on providing innovative technology and over-the-top service to our partners. And as I learned more about the support of the See Tickets folks in the UK and the stability of our parent company Vivendi, I was excited to jump on board immediately!”
