Brighton hops on board with Pogoseat

English Premier League football club Brighton & Hove Albion has partnered with ticketing technology company Pogoseat in a move that will give fans greater choice when choosing seats at the Amex Stadium.

As part of the agreement, the Amex will provide fans with real-time offers such as seat upgrades. The seat move functionality will be available through the Seagulls Tickets website.

Brighton supporters will be able to enter their FAN number associated to their profile to receive a credit for their original ticket value. Fans can then view a map of the stadium to sample views from around the stadium. Once their new seat is selected, fans can use their new digital ticket to gain entry to the Amex by scanning their mobile device at the turnstiles.

Pogoseat chief executive Kiran Patel said: “We are excited to be partnered with a club who are as highly innovative in their approach to mobile technology as we are. This season is an exciting time to launch with Brighton & Hove Albion.

“As football fans ourselves, it is our mission to provide supporters with the ability to improve their match day experience by giving them the freedom to move seats, gain access to lounges and go behind the scenes.”

Brighton’s head of ticketing and supporter services, Jenny Gower, added: “We believe that Pogoseat’s technology will offer season-ticket holders a great opportunity to try different seats and viewing areas here at the Amex and we hope our fans will enjoy using it.

“This new system will allow supporters to change seats and purchase 1901 seating with lounge access in real-time on their mobile phones, taking the pro-rata cost of their season ticket seat off the cost of the new replacement ticket. The new ticket barcode will be available to scan at the corporate reception, directly from the mobile phone which we hope will be a popular service to our season-ticket holders.”

Pogoseat’s technology is an integrated solution with Brighton’s primary ticketing partner, SeatGeek.

Pogoseat has partnered with a host of sports teams in North America since it was founded in 2012, with fans in the NBA, Major League Baseball, NHL, NFL and Major League Soccer all using its services.

Brighton is currently 14th in the Premier League after 27 games of the 2017-18 season.
