See Tickets use fans as sales reps

See Tickets has launched Fan-Share, a free to use peer-to-peer sales platform.

The programme uses ‘ambassadors’ and ‘reps’ to grow ticket sales through social and word-of-mouth marketing.

Promoters, venues and event organisers can choose how to incentivise ambassadors for their sales, which could be with complimentary tickets, merchandise, cash or VIP upgrades.

See Tickets then supply the mechanism to allow ambassadors to start selling to friends, family and social connections – the more they sell, the more rewards they earn.

Rob Wilmshurst, chief executive at See Tickets, said: “Our clients get access to Fan-Share at absolutely no cost, it requires no set-up from them and it will grow sales – it’s proven.

“The product can be used by across multiple events in addition to one-off events and festivals. As with every service that we offer, Fan-Share is a white label service.

“We have invested heavily in its development and now have a market leading product to put to our new and existing clients.”

Fan-Share has been running in beta with a number of festival clients, and has now been refined to work with touring and venue clients.

Promoters or event organisers need to define the reward structure and See Tickets and the ‘rep’ network will push the sales forward through the Fan Share platform.

Zeina Raad, organiser of Love Saves The Day, said: “We have seen solid sales results from Fan-Share and its helped us nurture a network of ambassadors who are keen to sell again for our next festival.

“The ease of Fan-Share tickets being fully integrated and compatible with See’s existing access control system, sales, reporting and ticketing tools also makes this a very simple tool to use.”
