More than a third of tickets for this year’s UEFA Champions League final in Kiev have been allocated to sponsors, officials and corporate hospitality programmes.
Football’s European governing body said in a statement that 40,700 tickets out of an available 63,000 at the NSC Olimpiyskiy in Ukraine’s capital city would be up for grabs for “fans and the general public.”
The two clubs in the final will receive 17,000 tickets each, while 6,700 tickets will be put on sale to fans worldwide on UEFA’s website.
“The remaining tickets (22,300) are allocated to the local organising committee, UEFA and national associations, commercial partners and broadcasters, and to serve the corporate hospitality programme,” the UEFA statement said.
The cost of tickets for the Champions League final will range from €70 ($86/£62) for the cheapest to €450 for the most expensive.
UEFA said that prices remained stable across all categories compared to last year’s final in Cardiff.
The final is set for May 26, with Spanish La Liga clubs Real Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla, as well as Italian Serie A teams Juventus and AS Roma, English Premier League clubs Manchester City and Liverpool and German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, all still in contention.
