Groupon bolsters leisure offering with Universal Orlando

Ticketing packages for all three Universal Orlando theme parks could bolster Groupon’s leisure offerings through the firm’s partnership with the resort.

Groupon’s deal with Universal Orlando Resort will be to offer multi-day ticketing packages for all three of its theme parks, including Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay.

The ticketing packages available through Groupon offer Universal Orlando’s standard online savings of up to $20 off the gate price, as well as a limited-time offer featuring tickets at $45 per day plus tax.

“Universal Orlando is one of the premier entertainment destinations in the United States, and we’re thrilled to offer the savings and convenience of buying tickets for all three of their theme parks through our platform,” said Brian Fields, vice president and general manager, Things to Do, Groupon.

“Groupon is the largest local marketplace of its kind, and people can expect more of these exciting integrations as potential partners realise the value that our 50 million customers represents.”

Universal Orlando ticketing packages through Groupon include single or multi-day tickets to Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Ticket prices and values vary depending on the ticket type, admission type and number of days you select. As well as multi-day tickets to all three theme parks: Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay.

Each ticket also includes seven consecutive calendar days of admission to select live entertainment venues of Universal CityWalk.
