Ravens take flight to fully mobile ticketing

The Baltimore Ravens have extended its partnership with Ticketmaster and has become the latest NFL team to commit to a fully-digital ticketing policy for the coming season.

The renewed agreement with the NFL franchise includes all events at M&T Stadium in Maryland. Ticketmaster will also continue to be the team’s secondary marketplace for fans to buy, sell, and transfer verified tickets.

This permanent switch to mobile ticketing means Ravens fans will be able to access tickets on their mobile device, download to a digital wallet, receive personalised event information, and enjoy a streamlined venue entry experience.

In addition, starting in 2019 at M&T Stadium, fans will be able to use their mobile device to enter the venue using simple tap-and-go technology.

“Through this new agreement, and our ongoing commitment to make significant improvements to the fan experience at M&T Bank Stadium, Ravens fans will see an updated and efficient ticketing experience because of Ticketmaster’s top-of-the-line technology and platforms,” said Baker Koppelman, senior vice president of ticket sales and operations.

“We are excited for our fans as we move into digital ticketing, and can’t wait for new the season to start.”

In a deal that was announced last autumn, Ticketmaster expanded its relationship with the NFL in a move that would provide it with an open architecture, fully digital ticketing system.

Ticketmaster Presence, will be installed at every NFL venue for the upcoming season and will be used for both games and any shows or concerts that take place within those venues.

Ticketmaster will continue to power the official NFL resale marketplace, the NFL Ticket Exchange, which will be migrated into the fully integrated primary and resale platform on Ticketmaster’s website.
