Eventbrite has linked up with venue operator and concert promoter MJR to focus on “global ticket sales.”
The Bristol-based promoter, which also promotes shows in Australia and New Zealand, said the partnership kicked off with more than 25,000 ticket sales for two concerts in Australia for 50 Cent.
The pair added that the launch will “roll out into MJR’s portfolio of future touring events, creative productions and venues.”
MJR chief Richard Buck said: “With lots of innovative projects planned over the next years, a ticketing partnership with Eventbrite felt the right move to support our growth.
“They completely understand our independent ethos and can provide us with a constantly evolving tech platform that suits our needs and helps deliver our expansion as a leading global entertainment company”.
Eventbrite UK’s head of music Paul Everett said: “This partnership with Richard and MJR Group is a direct result of Eventbrite’s continued dedication to the independent live music space. MJR are a highly ambitious company and we are aligned on how we view the future of the live music space around the world.”
Last month, Eventbrite linked up with live entertainment company Elrow Family in a multi-year ticketing deal.
Under the agreement, Eventbrite will handle the promotion of Elrow’s more than 100 events each year, reportedly attracting more than 2.4 million attendees in total. Elrow, which was founded eight years ago, is a circus-inspired events firm that pairs elaborate production, interactive performers and visual displays with electronic music.
