Eventbrite has appointed Helen Riley, chief financial officer at X, part of Google’s group, to its board of directors.
At X, owned by Alphabet, Riley heads up teams that are developing technologies such as self-driving cars and balloon-powered internet.
“Helen’s sharp financial acumen combined with a proven track record for identifying strategic investments and fuelling growth initiatives make her a fantastic addition to our board,” said Julia Hartz, chief executive and co-founder of Eventbrite.
Riley joined X following a 15-year career at Google where she led global finance and analytics for Google’s marketing teams, focused on products such as YouTube, Search and Android.
Prior to her tenure at Google, she was a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group in San Francisco and an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in London.
“I’m thrilled to be aligned with a brand that understands the unique needs of each individual customer and is committed to delivering them exceptional value,” said Riley. “I look forward to helping Eventbrite continue to empower event creators of all shapes and sizes around the world.”
