John Nicholl has been named as head of commercial at Asia Pacific ticketing, live entertainment and data analytics firm TEG.
The newly-created executive role will have responsibility for brand partnerships, sponsorships and hospitality sales across TEG’s portfolio of live entertainment.
Nicholl previously worked for eight years as business director with the multi-national marketing services giant WPP AuNZ and spent five years as chief executive of STW Sport, an integrated sports sponsorship consultancy.
Most recently, he was the general manager of commercial and marketing for Rugby Australia. He is also a former regional marketing manager and sports marketing and sponsorship manager for Coca-Cola Amatil.
TEG chief executive Geoff Jones said Nicholl brings a “great mix of skills and experience to the role”.
He added: “TEG is Australia’s largest diversified promoter of sports and live entertainment and that means we have a compelling array of events and opportunities for major brands and VIP clients.
“John will lead TEG’s commercial program across major event sport, music, family entertainment and exhibitions. This is an exciting appointment for TEG and will enhance our ability to connect brands and people to unforgettable live experiences.”
