Valencia reveals costly away prices for Champions League

Away fans traveling to Spain will once again be pointing to UEFA to implement changes in Champions League ticket pricing as Valencia prices are revealed.

Manchester United fans will need to pay £72 for a seat at the Mestalla Stadium when the teams face each other next month.

The most expensive seats for the October match will cost an eye-watering £205 (€230/$267).

In April, UEFA announced it would tackle the dispute of away fans being charged inflated prices by their European counterparts.

Previously, Liverpool, whose fans paid almost 65 per cent more than Chelsea fans for tickets against Roma, raised the issue with the European football governing body after overseas clubs continued hiking their prices.

Fans of Liverpool, which has led the Premier League representation on the contentious issue, paid £65 for the Champions League semi-final away leg at Roma on May 2.

The Football Supporters Europe group hit out at the governing body in April, as it looks for UEFA to extend regulations to stop clubs from inflating ticket costs for visiting fans.
