Ticketmaster’s Universe live in the Netherlands

Ticketmaster’s Universe DIY ticketing platform has launched in the Dutch market after partnering with the Eurosonic Noorderslag music festival.

The event organisation tool, used by around 35,000 groups worldwide, was bought by Live Nation in 2015 after being founded in Canada seven years ago. It provides organisers with tools to sell tickets, and promote and manage events online.

It allows event organisers to embed a customisable Buy Now button to sell tickets on any website with no redirect to Universe.

Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) is an annual four-day music showcase festival and conference held in January in Groningen, Netherlands. It attracts around 40,000 visitors each year, including 4,000 attending the conference.

“With the switch to Universe where it will be possible to combine the registrations for the delegates as well as the tickets for the festival visitors in one database and CRM, we are taking an enormous step in service to both the visitors of the conference and to the festival goers”, said ESNS managing director Dago Houben.

Ticketmaster bought Universe at the same time as Front Gate Tickets in 2015. The company is eager to showcase Universe to potential partners at ESNS.

Ticketmaster’s Aukina Buining said: “We are extremely enthusiastic about our collaboration and see Eurosonic Noorderslag as the perfect place to present Universe to Dutch event organisers and music fans. With Universe you can put your event online within five minutes.”
