AEG Presents signs two Dallas venues

AEG Presents has signed an exclusive booking deal with The Bomb Factory (pictured) and Canton Hall, two concert venues in Dallas, Texas.

Both premier venues present more than 600 events annually, with The Bomb Factory booking acts such as Beach House, Bon Iver, Death Cab for Cutie and LCD Soundsystem,

The arrangement expands AEG Presents’ relationship with The Bomb Factory and Canton Hall. The agreement allows both venues to “stay true” to its established culture and provides the support and investment to continue to drive growth and innovation and expands the venue’s presence in the market.

A renowned venue in Dallas with a long history, The Bomb Factory has also hosted iconic acts such as The Ramones, Phish, Rage Against The Machine and Black Sabbath. It was also the site for the first run of The Vans Warped Tour in 1995.

In November 2013, 15 years after the doors of The Bomb Factory closed, owners Clint and Whitney Barlow announced they had plans to resurrect the venue and undertook a multimillion-dollar renovation that included a completely new layout, look and feel, as well as state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. The Bomb Factory, with a capacity of 4,300, opened to sold out crowds and has injected new life into Deep Ellum as a Dallas hot spot for live music.

“The Barlows and AEG Presents share a passion and commitment to delivering the best music experiences to fans. Clint and Whitney have built extremely respected venues in Dallas with a proven track record of success and we are pleased that they chose to partner with us. We look forward to working closely with them to further grow the live music experience in Dallas,” said Rick Mueller, president – North America of AEG Presents.

Located next door to The Bomb Factory, Canton Hall was once known as Deep Ellum Live, and has hosted legendary performances by The Cure, Weezer, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins and more. Opening its doors in October 2017 and also featuring a complete overhaul, the venue serves as the perfect complement to The Bomb Factory with a capacity of 1,100.

The Barlows added: “We are honoured and excited to be a part of the AEG Presents family. Although we have worked with them since inception, we are happy to broaden that relationship and work with AEG Presents more deeply to make these two venues even more special.”
