Zogg named CEO of Switzerland’s Starticket

Christof Zogg has been named as the new chief executive for Starticket Switzerland as of 2019.

The executive formerly worked for the country’s national rail SBB, during which he tripled the firm’s digital ticket sales.

Throughout his four years with SBB, he helped boost digital sales mainly by developing digital touch points SBB Mobile and SBB.ch.

Zogg previously worked in several leading positions for Microsoft in Switzerland over the course of eight years, most recently as director developer and platform group, as well as member of the executive board.

“Christof Zogg has successfully promoted digital sales at SBB and, with his sound experience in the field of digital business, has the best qualifications to further strengthen Starticket as a service provider.

“On behalf of Tamedia’s management, I wish him a good start and expect us, together with our customers and partners, to continue the success story of Starticket,” said Samuel Hügli, Member of the Executive Committee and Head of Technology & Investments of Tamedia.

Zogg is replacing former chief executive Stefan Riedel, who exited the company in May.

Starticket has become one of the leading ticketing services in Switzerland since its launch in 2003, with a network of 1,500 ticket agencies, call centres and directly via its website starticket.ch.
