Greg Mrva has been appointed head financial officer of StubHub and will be jointly responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business.

He previously held the role as managing director of global internet banking at Morgan Stanley, where he led a team responsible for providing advice and execution on capital markets and strategic transactions to leading consumer internet businesses.

“We are thrilled that Greg has joined the StubHub leadership team,” said Sukhinder Singh Cassidy, president, StubHub. “As we continue to grow domestically and expand our international business, Greg’s track record as a strong financial operator and strategic advisor will make him a valued partner.”

Mrva will be based at StubHub’s headquarters in San Francisco, where he will report to Cassidy and eBay chief financial officer Scott Schenkel.

He will sit on both the StubHub and eBay finance leadership teams and be responsible for StubHub financial planning, accounting, analysis, operations, management, and strategy. Mrva will also share responsibility for setting strategic direction of the business, including oversight of StubHub’s acquisitions team.

Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mrva was the global head of internet investment banking for Barclays. He also held the vice president of mergers and acquisitions role at Yahoo!, and was vice president of corporate development at Mpath Interactive.
