Agile Ticketing enhances security with Bluefin

Payment security solution Bluefin has linked up with venue management software firm Agile Ticketing Solutions.

Under the agreement, Bluefin will provide its Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) solution to Agile Ticketing Solutions clients through its venue management software platform.

Agile Ticketing Solutions’ software combines event planning, donor, membership and marketing technologies for theatres, art houses, performing art centres, museums, film festivals and more. It currently serves over 400 venues throughout North America with ticket sales revenue exceeding $35m annually.

“PCI-validated P2PE is a crucial payment security technology for any business or organisation that processes card present credit card and debit card transactions,” said Greg Cornwell, head of global sales, Bluefin. “We are excited to bring the security, reduced PCI scope and brand protections of PCI P2PE to Agile Ticketing Solutions’ clients.”

The Bluefin/Agile Ticketing Solutions P2PE offering secures credit and debit card transactions by encrypting all data within the PAX S300 PCI-approved point of entry device. This prevents clear-text cardholder data from being available within the device, or in the merchant’s system where exposure to malware is possible. Data decryption always occurs offsite in a Bluefin hardware security module (HSM), ensuring the highest level of security.

“Security has always been a top priority for our ticketing software,” said Richard Steward, CEO, Agile Ticketing Solutions. “We are thrilled to partner with Bluefin to further guarantee that our clients and their customers are provided with a safe, secure and reliable purchasing experience.”
