Allegro and eBilet.pl make tix more accessible in Poland

Polish e-commerce platform Allegro has joined forces with ticketing firm eBilet.pl to make tickets for cultural, sports, music and family events more accessible in Poland.

Tickets for entertainment events, including the most popular music festivals such as Open’er and Orange Warsaw Festival, as well as family entertainment, concerts, sport events and other shows will be available to Allegro customers under the new deal.

Francois Nuyts, chief executive of Allegro, said: “For 17 million customers visiting our platform every month Allegro means convenient and secure shopping, big choice of products, best prices, convenient delivery options and a simple interface both on desktops and in a mobile app.

“Thanks to Allegro and eBilet.pl cooperation, tickets for thousands of great shows, concerts and other events will be available to Allegro customers at their fingertips. Cultural and entertainment events are part of a very attractive and dynamically growing market in Poland.

“Allegro clients’ interest in such events is increasing. Online sale of tickets for entertainment events in Poland is worth over PLN 700m (€165m/£148m/$187m) and grows nearly 20 per cent per annum. Together with eBilet.pl, we want to take a significant position in this category.”

Marcin Matuszewski, chief executive of eBilet Polska, added: “We expect a significant increase in sales thanks to reaching Allegro customers with our offer. This applies to both large and smaller cities.

“On the other hand eBilet.pl customers will be provided with a very wide range of products and services available at Allegro, such as Allegro Smart!,including free delivery to 20,000 lockers and pick-up points.

“Our goal is to offer customers in Poland a single place where they can inspire themselves and plan all their free time activities. At the same time we will offer event promoters new exclusive tools to reach wide audiences. Thanks to our cooperation, Allegro and eBilet.pl customers will have better access to both nationwide and local events.”
