Live Nation Washington DC makes key appointments

Live Nation has announced Kelly Flanigan as president of Washington DC – US Concerts.

Flanigan will oversee booking, marketing, and business operations for Live Nation across the region, including Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

In addition, Wilson Howard has been promoted to chief operating officer of Washington DC and the Carolinas – U.S. Concerts and will oversee the company’s development opportunities and long-term strategic planning for the region. He will also continue in his role as one of the country’s leading promoters.

Both will report to Bob Roux, Live Nation President of U.S. Concerts.

Roux said: “Kelly has been key to Live Nation’s success in DC since joining the company over a decade ago, and her promotion to president of the DC region is very well-deserved.

“By elevating Kelly and Wilson, we’re confident that Live Nation will continue to expand our business and our annual concerts throughout the region.”

Flanigan joined Live Nation in 2006 as a talent buyer in the same markets she is now leading. Over the years, she has been involved in venue operations as well as festival and concerts programming.

Howard has been with Live Nation and the company’s predecessors for more than four decades.  Wilson held senior roles with Beach Club Promotions and Cellar Door Concerts before heading Live Nation’s business in the mid-Atlantic region starting in 2006.
