Ticketek has introduced Google Pay to its customers in Australia to allow them to buy tickets through the API.
Customers can store both credit and debit cards in their Google Pay digital wallet and quickly access their account to confirm their payment in just a few clicks.
The integration within Ticketek’s purchase pipeline offers flexibility and convenience for customers in streamlining their purchase experience.
Ticketek Australia managing director Cameron Hoy said the integration with Google Pay is designed to “remove friction and make it easier to buy tickets.”
He added: “Ticketek is continuously looking for ways to provide our customers with a great experience when purchasing tickets and our integration with Google Pay offers a simpler, faster payment solution in our app and website.
“The payment information is protected with multiple layers of security so customers can be assured this experience comes with peace of mind.”
Ticketek is the Asia Pacific region’s leading ticketing agency, and issues 28 million tickets per year to events at Australia and New Zealand’s premier venues.
Prasenjit Phukan, product manager at Google Pay, said: “We want to make it easier for businesses like Ticketek to offer a simpler, faster payment solution for their customers. With Google Pay, customers will be able to speed through checkout with just a few clicks.”
