Chiefs player gifts ticket to kind stranger

Jeff Allen, a Kansas City Chiefs guard, has gifted tickets to next Sunday’s NFL AFC Championship Game to a stranger that helped him get his car out of the snow.

The American football player tweeted on Sunday morning that a “nice guy named Dave” had helped Allen pull his stuck car out of the snow.

Allen admits he failed to get the man’s contact information, and so turned to his Twitter followers for some help finding Dave.

In an effort to find the Good Samaritan, Allen tweeted: “My car got stuck in the snow before the game & a nice guy named Dave help pull me out without knowing I was a player.

“I want to give him tickets to the AFC championship game for helping but don’t have a way to contact him. He drove a 97 or 98 Black Suburban. Pls RT #ChiefsKingdom”

Later the same day, Allen sent out an update to his following that he was able to track down Dave thanks to “the power of social media.”

He said in the tweet: “Update: Despite the recent influx in people changing their name to Dave in the KC area lol, I was actually able to track down the Dave that helped me thanks to the power of social media and #ChiefsKingdom. Thanks for your kindness.”
