HID Global continues to expand into new mobile ticketing segments by enabling a trade show in Dubai to offer mobile tickets to its visitors for the first time.

HID worked with Info Salons, a leading event technology company for registration and attendee database management in Dubai, to deliver mobile ticketing and access control for a two-day sustainable construction materials trade show.

Wilbert Heijmans, Managing Director of Info Salons Middle East & Turkey, said: “Following a successful trial at a major show last year, we integrated HID Global’s mobile ticketing solution into our platform and used it at a trade show here in Dubai. It reduced our on-site costs and provided attendees with a great event check-in experience.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with HID Global. We are excited to see how we can further use mobile ticketing, event apps and access control to improve the user experience and increase attendee engagement in the trade show sector.”

Event tickets are delivered directly into the event app, provided by HID. The HID platform equips event organisers with a step-by-step app-building tool and event management suite that enables them to brand their app and design the ticket layout while staying in full control of the set-up experience from start to finish.

Luc Faucher, MD of HID Mobile Ticketing, said: “We are empowering event planners to build and manage fully customised, branded event apps and we are empowering ticketing companies to deliver their tickets directly into these apps.

“HID is committed to helping event organisers, ticketing companies and venues deliver the best possible user experience for their customers. By combining the event app, mobile ticket and access control system, we are able to map the entire attendee experience at the event and use that data to increase attendee engagement, which ultimately delivers value to our clients.”

HID is hoping to capitalise on the trend of all tickets moving to mobile by offering a complete suite of products that enable existing ticketing companies to provide mobile ticket delivery.

Earlier this year, Birmingham City Football Club, together with their primary partner, Foster’s Lager, used HID technology to successfully drive fan engagement in the ‘Man of the Match’ vote. Fans’ participation was rewarded with a digital voucher for a bottle of Foster’s lager.
