Vendini hits ticket sales milestone

Event management firm Vendini has notched $3bn (£2.3bn/€2.6bn) in gross ticket sales over the past five years, gaining more than 1,000 new members.

The new customers in performing arts, live music and comedy, festivals, tours, and universities include Chicago International Film Festival, Comix Mohegan Sun and Stambaugh Auditorium.

“Our growth is due to the dedication we have for the success of our members and their patrons,” said Keith Goldberg, chief operating officer, Vendini.

“In the past year, we’ve strategically expanded our business into Canada, hired new executives, and added to our solution to help our customers increase ticket sales and showcase their brands.”

Vendini has recently bolstered its executive team with the addition of Shannon Everley as vice president of marketing, Jillian Owens as vice president of customer success and Pancrazio Auteri as chief product officer.

The new appointments came at a time of high-growth and expansion for the company as they captured more of the Canadian market with the acquisition of Boxxo, a Quebec-based ticketing software company.

Vendini acquired the Canadian ticketing provider, which has been working with arts organisations in Quebec for more than 15 years, in September last year.
