The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and technology company Nodalblock have joined forces to develop a ticket tracking system on the blockchain.
The RFEF, the governing body of football in Spain, plans to use blockchain technology through the tracking and activation of the tickets sold for the events it organises, including the matches of the Spanish national football team.
This will be a way to provide more transparency and better control of the distribution of fan entries, eliminating the physical resale points.
Under the agreement, Nodalblock will allow the RFEF to digitise traditional tickets into interactive units protected by blockchain technology.
This is done through the traceability of each of the entrances and the control of their distribution.
The new system will operate under the sales systems provided by the RFEF’s official channels without any special requirement for users.
