Green Bay Packers hike season ticket prices

NFL American football team the Green Bay Packers has increased its season ticket prices for the 2019 season.

Season ticket holders were informed of the changes earlier this week, highlighting that tickets will rise $1 (€0.88/£0.76) or $6, depending on seat location. More than half of the tickets will only be increasing by $2 or less per game.

“This pricing increase continues our practice of keeping our prices just below the middle of NFL pricing, while recognising the value of the game-day experience at Lambeau Field and providing shared revenue to our fellow NFL teams,” Packers president and chief executive Mark Murphy said in a letter to season ticket holders.

Tickets for a seat between the end zone and the 20-yard line will now cost $128, which is $6 more than in 2018. Season passes for the south end zone will only be $1 more expensive at $120.

The NFL season will kick off on September 5, though the 2019 schedule has not been released yet.
