Even though the idea itself describes a revolutionary change in ticket buying, V-Commerce is actually taking us back to the roots of human communication.
After years of teaching our fingers to do the talking, voice assistants are now enabling us to use our mouths again to make purchases. In this transaction, however, your conversation partner is a virtual shopping assistant.
More precisely, V-Commerce describes an interaction between the user and, in most cases, a commercial website solely by using speech recognition technology to place and check orders, or to obtain web-based information, anytime and anywhere.
But… the true power, however, lies in the smooth integration with ordering systems and payment processes.
Next month, at TheTicketingBusiness Forum in Manchester, Tonia Luykx of Amazon Pay and Mark Prethero of London Theatre Direct will share the stage – exploring how V-Commerce has transformed the ticket-buying experience in London’s West End.
