TicketGuardian has signed a multi-year partnership with Learfield IMG College and more than 20 US collegiate properties it represents.
The deal comes on the heels of TicketGuardian’s new relationship with ticketing firm Paciolan, which powers more than 500 live entertainment organisations and 125 collegiate athletic programmes that sell over 120 million tickets each year.
TicketGuardian will be incorporated into each ticketing platform within the college or university’s respective ticket purchase path, giving fans the option to purchase FanShield ticket insurance prior to check-out.
“Were thrilled to offer some of the most passionate and invested sports fans in the country the protection they deserve when it comes to watching their beloved teams,” said TicketGuardian’s Protecht founder and chief executive Bryan Derbyshire.
“Working with Learfield IMG College on a national initiative like this not only sets us apart, but allows us to provide an innovative solution for fans of the collegiate brands they’re fortunate to represent. We are excited to launch this and to continue identifying new synergies each year.”
TicketGuardian will also benefit from having its branding visible digitally and across social platforms, as well as on all official platforms managed by the respective colleges and universities. It will also feature on the videoboards during football or basketball season.
Andy Rawlings, chief revenue officer for Learfield IMG College, said: “With TicketGuardian, we have a solution for schools that desire to provide their fans a peace of mind when purchasing game tickets.
“Now, when fans buy tickets, theyll know they’re covered if unexpected circumstances arise. This is a smart and ambitious endeavour by TicketGuardian, aligning with us as well as Paciolan to deepen its presence in the college space and introduce an excellent value add we believe fans will appreciate.”
