Eventim UK has launched a new AI-based marketing tool, with early figures showing it has significantly sped up its email marketing process.

The Artist Intelligence tool allows the ticketing firm to send targeted emails for every event and artist based on data gathered across all Eventim platforms.

The tool uses an algorithm that selects previous artist bookers and similar artist bookers data to send email campaigns to fans and potential ticket-buyers.

Dale Ballentine, chief operating officer of Eventim UK, told TheTicketingBusiness.com that in the three weeks of the tool being used, Eventim UK has been running the emails for events with an allocation of 200 tickets or less. He said: “We have an impressive 43 per cent average unique open rate, of which 3.5 per cent have gone on to purchase.”

Ballentine added: “As Artist Intelligence has significantly sped up our data selection process, we now send a targeted email for every event we’re on sale with. Size does not matter to the team here at Eventim UK.”

The algorithm analyses data collected across CTS Eventim and third-party content providers to make the most relevant recommendations for fans. Artist Intelligence takes into account customer purchase behaviour across all Eventim’s platforms to select events for targeted recipients.

Last year, the firm launched a recommended events email widget, which uses part of the same mechanism as Artist Intelligence. Eventim UK claims the widget has proven to be “excellent in converting sales.”
