US college American football team Syracuse has sold more than 4,000 new season tickets for the 2019 campaign.
Syracuse Athletics also noted that its renewal rate with season ticket holders from the 2018 season has been over 90 per cent.
Syracuse deputy director of athletics and chief marketing officer Andrew Goodrich said: “To see fans and alumni, not only in the city of Syracuse, but also from areas like Rochester, Utica and the Southern Tier, commit to season-ticket packages to support our football program is truly inspiring.
“We are working to create an exceptional college football atmosphere inside the Carrier Dome for our team and a motivated, excited fanbase is essential for that.”
The university said it expects to sell out of the 1,250 season tickets remaining in the first and second levels.
Season tickets start at $125 (£95/€111), while individual game tickets, which will be available on a pre-sale basis, start at $65.
