Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Asian Athletics Championships, which will take place in Doha, Qatar.
The 23rd edition of the event will take place from April 21-24 at the Khalifa International Stadium, one of the host venues for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, and tickets are now available online.
Ticket prices will start at QR30 (£6.29/€7.32/$8.24), with up to 7,000 available for purchase per each day of the competition. Options include a family deal that gives two adults and two children the chance to secure tickets with a 15 per cent discount. People with disabilities and one accompanying person will enter for free.
Ticket options will mirror those that are on offer for the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha in September. The Asian Athletics Championships will serve as an official test event for that event.
The local organising committee will trial all major operations, including the venue, transport and accommodation, to ensure a smooth experience during the World Championships later this year.
Nearly 700 athletes will compete at the Asian Athletics Championships, which will offer 186 medals in 21 men’s events, 21 women’s event and a mixed-relay event.
