Rolling Stone signs Vivid Seats as first ticketing partner

North American marketplace Vivid Seats has linked up with music brand Rolling Stone to become its first ever ticketing partner.

The multi-faceted deal will see Vivid Seats provide digital ticketing integration, tour content on the Rolling Stone website and live events, such as Rolling Stone Live: Palm Springs and Rolling Stone Live: Chicago, both held during major music festival weekends.

“Granting fans unprecedented access to exclusive RS Live parties surrounding two of North America’s largest music and arts festivals is just one of the reasons why the entire Vivid Seats team is excited about partnering with Rolling Stone,” said Stan Chia, chief executive of Vivid Seats.

“As a lifelong guitar player, avid music fan, and believer in the power of experiences, I’m looking forward to working alongside music’s most celebrated brand to continue to establish Vivid Seats as the premier destination for live music fans.”

Chicago-based Vivid Seats provides ticketing across live sports, concerts, theatre and claims to have a 100 per cent Buyer Guarantee. The partnership comes less than a month after the ticketing firm’s first acquisition of a distribution platform.

Rolling Stone, a well-known brand in publishing and music, has developed into a multi-platform content brand, reaching more than 60 million people per month.

Gus Wenner, president and chief operating officer of Rolling Stone: “We’re excited to launch this strategic partnership with Vivid Seats. By leveraging the strengths of our two brands, we’ll be providing music fans with highly engaging digital content and deeper access to the live music experiences they crave.”
