LaLiga tickets to be sold via El Corte Inglés

Spanish retail giant El Corte Inglés is to sell tickets for football matches in the country’s top two divisions under the terms of a new deal agreed with La Liga.

The department store chain, which attracts more than 700 million customer visits per year, is already live with tickets for matches featuring Getafe, Albacete, Elche and Gimnàstic de Tarragona, with more clubs expected to be added soon.

Tickets will be available at more than 600 physical points of sale across the country, as well as on the store’s website and via its customer service phone line.

Through its technology partnership with BeTIX Sports by Expertus Technology, El Corte Inglés will offer fans the option to use 3D imaging to view potential seats prior to purchase.

Fans will also have the ability to manage their season ticket by renewing it and changing the location via the department store.

“This is the first time that the company has offered the service of football tickets, which is one of the activities most demanded by customers who want a step up in the improvement of services,” said an El Corte Inglés spokesperson.

LaLiga has been partnered with El Corte Inglés since 2017, and through this deal, will see the partnership extended to at least 2021.
