Sefi appointed to grow SeatGeek’s primary ticketing

Charlie Sefi has been named SeatGeek’s new managing director for EMEA Entertainment.

In his new London-based role, Sefi will manage, lead and grow SeatGeek’s primary ticketing business.

He will direct the sales, implementation and support teams across SeatGeek Enterprise’s UK and European entertainment clients.

“We’re thrilled to have Charlie join us in London to continue the momentum the team has worked so hard to build,” said general manager International at SeatGeek, James McClure.

“Our team is investing into the UK entertainment as there is a lot of room for us to thrive. Charlie’s experience across high growth SaaS, ticketing and consumer startups makes him uniquely qualified to take on this position.”

Sefi joins the team from Resy, where he was general manager international until its recently announced acquisition by American Express. In this role, he was the first international employee and took on the task of growing the business in Europe and Australia.

Prior to Resy, he led Ticketscript as the managing director for the UK and Ireland until its acquisition by Eventbrite. He was also a founding director of the YPlan app, where he built and led the entire sales, operations and content teams.

Sefi said: “This is an exciting time for SeatGeek and the industry and I’m happy to be part of this team.

“We see an opportunity to improve the ticketing experience in the entertainment space for both consumers and clients. The SeatGeek Enterprise team has grown successfully so quickly with clients who love the product and team. I’m happy to be part of the next chapter as we continue to expand the business globally.”
