TEG reshuffles its digital executive team

Former Slingshot Media Ventures head of digital and data Chris Johnston has been appointed as the head of digital for TEG.

The Australia-based Ticketek owner will see Johnston replace Karen Chapple, who has been with the firm for six years, as the general manager of TEG Digital.

During her time with the company, Chapple helped to establish BOOST, TEG Digital’s in-house agency and Australia’s premier digital and data-driven marketing agency for the entertainment industry.

Prior to Johnston’s time at Slingshot, he was at Carat Australia as head of digital and direct for Woolworths limited and previously worked for McCann Erickson as a general manager.

TEG chief executive Geoff Jones, said: “TEG is unrivalled in Asia Pacific when it comes to the high quality of its assets and expertise in data, digital, technology and ticketing.

“Chris is an impressive operator who has both the drive and experience required to take this core area of TEG’s business to new heights, and more importantly, deliver outstanding results for our clients.”

Johnston added: “Having worked closely with TEG in recent years, I’ve witnessed the incredible business that Geoff and his team have been able to create.

“With unrivalled data, great tech and incredible people, TEG is in an enviable position to lead the next evolution of data driven marketing. I’m excited to join the Team to help make that happen and realise the endless opportunities that lie ahead.”

TEG has also appointed Dominic White as its head of communications and corporate affairs.
