Huddersfield Town introduce new youth price category

Huddersfield Town have introduced a new under-8s ticket price category for the 2019-20 season in a bid to attract young fans following their relegation from the Premier League.

The Championship team’s young fans, who were previously required to buy an under-18 ticket for £15, will now be able to purchase a £10 under-8’s matchday pass.

Other matchday ticket prices will remain the same as they were last season. Adult prices stay at £30, while over-60s tickets are still £20.

The Huddersfield Town Supporters Association (HTSA) welcomed the announcement in a tweet: “We welcome #HTAFC’s decision to freeze match day ticket prices & include a new under-8s category.

“We believe that the latter step is particularly important & a sensible expansion of the pricing policy that began in 2016/17.”

Prices will not change based on the timing of the purchase, so buying a ticket in advance will not be cheaper than an on-the-day purchase.

Huddersfield Town welcomed an average attendance of 22,660 fans at its 24,500-capacity John Smith Stadium during the 2018-19 season.
