Tickets for Lima 2019 Parapan Games released

Tickets for Lima 2019 Parapan American Games went on sale yesterday (Monday), with prices starting at $3 (£2.40/€2.69).

The Parapan American Games will gather 1,890 Para athletes from 33 countries, participating in 17 sports across 14 fully accessible competition venues. Competitions will take place from August 23 to September 1, 2019, with 14 sports to be qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Lima 2019 President Carlos Neuhaus said: “The Lima 2019 Parapan American Games will make heroes of the Para athletes and inspire a generation of young sports fans across the continent. Lima 2019 is proud to set a new standard for inclusivity and accessibility in Peru, with the largest ever Parapan American Games being held in our capital.”

The competition is launching special “Day Pass” tickets that will be available for the Videna Sports Complex and Villa Maria del Triunfo Sports Center to attend all the events held at the venue on a single day.

Children under the age of 12, seniors over the age of 60 and people with an impairment are eligible for a 50 per cent discount on tickets.

Every Lima 2019 sporting venue and facility offers accessible and companion seat tickets for sale.

Neuhaus added: “As we look forward to the revolutionary sports competition that is quickly approaching, we invite sports fans from across the world to purchase their tickets for the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games and join us to celebrate the achievements and athleticism of the greatest Para athletes of the Americas.”

Tickets can be purchased online, at the competition venues and at 10 authorised ticket centres across the Peruvian capital.

More than 100,000 tickets have been shifted so far for the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru after going on sale in May

The competition, which will be held between July 24 and August 11, has sold out of tickets for the Opening Ceremony and several of the finals events.
