German ice hockey franchise Augsburger Panther has confirmed a long-term extension deal with Ticketmaster Germany.
Under the agreement, Ticketmaster will now also provide the club with a package of marketing support via Ticketmaster.de.
Panther, which first partnered with Ticketmaster five years ago, is one of Germany’s leading professional ice hockey teams having finished third in the top-tier Deutsche Eishockey Liga in the most recent season.
Klaus Zemke, managing director of Ticketmaster, said: “We are pleased to further develop our existing partnership with the Panthers.
“Digital ticketing, marketing and fan engagement are a priority for us and our close relationship with the leadership and ticketing teams at the club enable us to further develop new initiatives and grow the business together. Congratulations to the club on a fantastic season and we wish them good luck for the new season ahead.”
Augsburger Panther plays its home games at the 6,218-capacity Curt Frenzel Stadion.
Lothar Sigl, owner of the franchise, said: “Since 2014, Ticketmaster and Panther have worked well together and we are delighted that we have now been able to agree on an early, long-term extension of the partnership.
“Thanks to the support of a strong and competent partner like Ticketmaster, we have been able to make considerable progress in ticketing and we look forward to the future ahead.”
