SPEAKER PREVIEW: GOJEK drives on-demand to entertain Indonesia and beyond

We are delighted to welcome Mohamad Ario Adimas, GOJEK Entertainment Group’s Vice President of Marketing to the speaker line-up at the inaugural Ticketing Business Asia meeting in Hong Kong, 16-17 October.

GOJEK is one of Asia’s Super Apps. What started as a scooter ride hailing app (itself creating Indonesia’s first unicorn in the parent Go-Jek Group) is now a one-stop platform for ordering food, commuting, digital payments, shopping, hyper-local delivery, getting a massage and two dozen other services – including entertainment and events ticketing.

The Go-Tix element is an app-based entertainment discovery and ticket selling service which, when connected with the event management and access control platform LOKET (acquired by Go-Jek in 2017) has created a unique platform offer for event promoters and their customers.

Go-Jek no longer sees itself as a ride-hailing app. “We’re a new animal now,” observes its CEO Nadiem Makarim. “Go-Jek and Loket will provide their respective technology strengths to improve the whole event experience for both consumers and promoters.”

Founded in 2013, Loket offers an online ticket booking and event management system, along with RFID wristbands – help organisers monitor crew, crowds, enable cashless payments at event venues, and gather information about attendee activity. Loket which claims to serve more than 80 percent of Indonesia’s large-scale music events.

Since the acquistion, GOJEK has consolidated the offers into GOJEK Entertainment Group, expanding its services further into live music, theatre, cinema and – more recently – sport. Go-Jek secured the title sponsorship for Indonesia’s top professional soccer league.

Join us in Hong Kong (16-17 October) as we begin connecting Asia’s ticketing ecosystem together.
