Reading FC has named SeatGeek as its ticketing partner for the 2019-20 Championship season.
The club, which plays at the 24,000-seat Madejski Stadium, will use the ticketing platform’s SRO to boost the fan experience and deliver automated processes across the club’s back office operations.
London Irish Rugby Club, which will also play its home games at the same ground during the upcoming season, will also use SRO to manage all of its ticketing requirements.
Under the agreement, Reading will roll out its first mobile-responsive online ticketing buying experience and deliver a single sign-on solution via the club’s website.
Reading’s use of SRO will encompass all ticketing, membership and season tickets as well as corporate hospitality for match day and seasonal sales offering fans full mobile functionality across all aspects via the new ticketing portal.
SeatGeek’s managing director for sport (EMEA) Peter Joyce said: “I am absolutely delighted to bring Reading FC on board as a SeatGeek client. The club’s management team carried out an extensive review process and had a clear vision to enhance all aspects of the supporter buying experience across ticketing, memberships and hospitality solutions in use at the club.
“Following our successful launch phase with Season Ticket renewals we look forward to continuing our work with the club’s management team to deliver a first-class mobile first ticketing experience for fans across all aspects of the club’s ticketing operations during the 2019-20 season and beyond.”
SeatGeek now provides ticketing for 35 per cent of Premier League clubs during season 2019-2020 as well as 30 per cent of the Championship clubs. The ticketing firm’s other clients include Manchester City, Newcastle United, Leicester City and Aston Villa.
