Event industry mogul David Walley (left) has formed a new event services company, Star Live, after several recent UK acquisitions.
In the past 12 months, the entrepreneur has acquired Mobile Promotions, BluePeg, Beautiful Minds and Star Events, which will now all fall under the same Star Live banner.
The founders of each business will continue to work with the new firm and will form its senior management team. The move comes after last week’s announcement that Walley has acquired live event equipment supplier Star Events.
Star Live offers event services including stages and grandstands, trailers and roadshows, brand ambassadors and crewing alongside design and creative, sponsorship management and partnerships, event production and brand activation.
The firm has offices across the UK and has an international presence in Shanghai, China.
Walley said: “This is a logical and exciting step for us. We have brought together four market leading companies with a clear vision; to be the full-service live event and brand experience partner for all our clients. Our new brand identity reflects our heritage combined with a contemporary mindset, fully focussed on creating world-class experiences for our clients and their audiences.”
The new name and brand identity launched on Friday and have been be adopted by all the businesses with immediate effect.
Walley, who led the UK’s Freeman company and served as managing director of De Boer, a global provider of fully integrated temporary and semi-permanent space solutions, has helped to develop and grow several businesses in the industry, including Arena Group and 360 Creative Events Services.
