Hertha BSC extends Smart Pricer deal

German Bundesliga football club Hertha BSC has extended its long-term partnership with dynamic pricing firm Smart Pricer.

The implementation of dynamic pricing in the 74,629-capacity Olympiastadion over the last three seasons has reportedly yielded revenue growth as well as a significant increase in online sales and early bookers for the club.

Dynamic pricing also allows fans to get lower ticket prices when they book in advance or attend low demand games.

Thomas Herrich, a member of the executive board of Hertha BSC, said: “We are happy to continue our collaboration with Smart Pricer. Analytical ticket pricing has become an essential part of our ticketing strategy. With Smart Pricer’s solution we are able to optimise our ticket sales while rewarding loyal fans and early bookers at the same time.”

Smart Pricer’s pricing services have been used for other Bundesliga clubs such as Bayer 04 Leverkusen, VfB Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Smart Pricer managing director Franz Blechschmidt added: “Dynamic pricing is key for the future of sports ticketing. We are very happy to continue the successful work with Hertha BSC’s ticketing team and shape the further development of the club’s innovative ticketing strategy.”
