Spurs fans’ group ‘extremely disappointed’ with CL ticket decision

Tottenham Hotspur’s fans’ group has said it is “extremely disappointed” with the Premier League club’s decision not to re-establish multi-game tickets packages for the UEFA Champions League group stage.

The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust had hoped that Spurs would offer members the same deal as in the 2016-17 season, which gave fans the chance to buy tickets to all three home matches for a discounted price prior to the draw.

The club made the promotion available again during the 2017-18 season, but stopped offering it last season due to the uncertainty caused by the move to its new stadium.

THST said in a statement: “This season, it would have been possible for the club to offer the package, but it has chosen not to despite lobbying from the Trust on the back of substantial support from fans.”

Tottenham has also opted to withhold two home cup credits, which had been included in season-tickets, but ended with the introduction of the multi-game deal.

THST added: “It’s extremely regrettable the club has decided to withdraw such a popular offer.”

The Champions League group stage draw will take place in Monaco on August 29.
