AC Milan has launched its new mobile app to offer ticketing options, exclusive content and live streams.
Fans can access the Italian Serie A club’s online store to purchase matchday tickets and official merchandise. During the 2018-19 season, the club had the second highest attendance in the league with an average of 54,651 supporters per game.
As part of the app’s launch, it live streamed AC Milan’s friendly game at Cesena on Sunday, exclusively on the iOS platform. Streaming will be available on Android at the start of the season.
The new app also includes features to boost the matchday experience, such as official line-ups, player stats, live blogging and up-to-the-second updates and alerts. This feature also gives fans the opportunity to vote for the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the match.
Casper Stylsvig, the club’s chief revenue officer said: “The launch of the official AC Milan App is an important step towards the club’s digitalisation process. There will be further developments over the coming months that will allow the club to improve the level of service and satisfaction for both fans and commercial partners.”
The app also highlights the club’s social media accounts, as well as that of its players, which will be made available via a new Daily Best Of feature, which includes the most popular club content shared on Instagram and Twitter.
Fans can use the platform to access behind-the-scenes content from the club’s facilities at Milanello, Casa Milan, Vismara and the 80,000-capacity San Siro stadium
Lamberto Siega, the club’s marketing and digital director, added: “The new AC Milan App completes the club’s B2C digital ecosystem. The key focus is to provide our fans with a hub that offers an immersive and exclusive experience. This will allow us to know our fans better through data, which in turn means offering them a more relevant and personalised experience.”
