StubHub has named Dan Jones as its vice president of international to help drive the expansion of the US-based ticketing firm globally.
Jones will be based in Madrid, Spain with oversight of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin American and Asia Pacific regions.
Previously, he held the senior vice president role at genealogy website Ancestry, where he oversaw the 2015 launch of the Ancestry DNA consumer genomics product in the UK, Canada and Australia. He also drove investment strategies to open up new markets such as Germany and Mexico.
StubHub president Sukhinder Singh Cassidy said: “With US sports making a significant impact on British soil, and music, sports and theatre fans increasingly travelling further afield to watch live events, cross-border trade and internationalisation are a core focus for us.
“Dan is a fantastic addition to the team and his international experience – combined with his natural passions for the industry – are a great fit for his role to continue to grow our offerings, globally.”
