Braves dish out free tickets to Hurricane Dorian evacuees

The Atlanta Braves Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise has offered free tickets to fans that have been evacuated due to Hurricane Dorian.

The team said it would invite evacuees to Suntrust Park for free on September 3 and 5.

Residents of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, who have been displaced due to mandatory evacuations ahead of the Category 5 storm, can claim their complimentary tickets for tomorrow’s games.

Fans can accept the tickets by showing a valid driver’s licence from the specific coastal zip codes that are under a mandatory evacuation.

Braves officials said: “Tickets can only be claimed at the SunTrust Park Ticket Office windows – while supplies last – beginning at noon on Tuesday and noon on Thursday for each respective game. Tickets are complimentary and should not be resold.”

Hurricane Dorian has already torn through the Bahamas with “extreme flooding” and 185 mph winds, and is making its way up the coast through Florida.
