Louisville City FC hits season ticket milestone

Louisville City FC has shifted more than 5,000 season tickets for its 2020 United Soccer League campaign at its under-construction Lynn Family Stadium.

Eleven sections at the new 14,000-capacity stadium have already sold out, with three of those selling out after tickets went on general sale on Monday.

Season ticket holders during the 2019 season were provided with early access to tickets in July for the upcoming season.

“The response has been tremendous,” Louisville City president Brad Estes said. “Our long-time season ticket members have had access for more than a month and many of them have already selected their seats. And now that the public has access, we have already sold more than half our allotted season tickets for 2020.”

The newly named Lynn Family Stadium, which is set to open next spring, will have a capacity of 14,000, with permanent seating for over 11,000 fans.

Louisville City, which won back-to-back USL Championship titles in 2017 and 2018, currently plays at Slugger Field, which is primarily a baseball stadium. During the 2019 season, the club drew in an average attendance of 9,303 fans.

Tickets for the 2020 season range in price from $16 per game to $65 per game for premium seats.
